We don’t work with a price list, we don’t hold stock of anything either.
The machines are inspected, which requires disassembly, and the part numbers are ascertained. It’s not based on the machine’s make and model as the same machine may have different parts depending on where it was manufactured, which in turn may have different prices.
Also, due to the current climate of uncertainty in the market and the incredible increase in price parts, big price discrepancies are increasingly found, so now we unable to provide estimates, on certain repairs, until we’ve inspected the machine.
We want everyone to be happy and have a smooth experience when they visit us, so we insert every customer or client into a time slot.
You are required to book an appointment so that we can continue to provide a dedicated and personalised service, to you. Not just a number, but an equal, a person who will have our full and undivided attention.
For as much as booking an appointment may seem like a pain, I’m sure you like the idea of a personalised service, without someone behind you rushing you or breathing down your neck. Of course you might not know about all of this, so rest assured we still will not turn you down if you just turn up 🙂
Whether it’s a gaming PC or laptop, an all-in-one desktop, a Chromebook, makes no odds, we’ve always got you covered.
If for some reason we can’t assist you with a particular device, we will try to signpost you to someone that might.
We also do some soldering work, get in touch for details.
Make a little script in your head or write it down even, describing what, as far as you know, has happened to your machine. What were you doing at the time or whether you had already been noticing signs of trouble for some time. It’s fine if you don’t know, but the more information we have, the more easily and quickly we’ll have you back up and running again.
You should also consider whether we’re going to be able to login to your computer to repair it, so please be ready to provide login password or PIN if we request it. You can also just remove any access restriction before you drop it off.
Of course, some of the above situations are hypothetical, especially when you consider that your machine may not start at all, your hard drive is actually completely dead or you simply have no explanation to what had happened to your machine…
No Problem At All!!! That’s what we’re here for, and we will move mountains to make this experience as smooth and pain free as possible. We’ll have a chat, and it’s fine if you don’t know what to say, we’ll ask all the questions from you, and again, it’s even fine too if you don’t know the answers, we’ll still fix it!
When you bring your machine to us, you will have an appointment time slot, so we’ll spend a little time going over a few key points and you’ll have the chance to answer all the questions that will ultimately create you repair case.
This way you can describe the problems you are having with the computer in the best way possible, without knowing beforehand what to say, because we’ll guide you through the whole process, and you’ll end up feeling like you knew a lot more than you thought, and in fact even learning a lot more about your machine in the process.
Of course, it’s not always going to be possible for us to tell you exactly what the problem is without carrying out an assessment, inspection or diagnostic. Because of this, and to also cover this scenario, we inspect every machine before telling you with certainty what the issue is, and indeed how much the final quote will be.
It’ll be a breeze, and definitely something you should not be anxious or stressing about. It’s stress free, we’ll make sure of that.
So, in order to become fully familiarised with the nature of the required repair and provide you with a reliable quotation, we’ll need to inspect the machine so we can determine its current state, what work needs to be carried out, the specs, part numbers, etc.
But don’t let that put you off, we want to be fair with you in exchange, so the inspection is free should you choose to go ahead with our repair quote. There, that’s fair, right?
It all depends though. Sometimes, depending on the nature of the job, we already know exactly what we’ll be repairing and you’ve already agreed that you want it repaired regardless so, we don’t need to inspect! There is no inspection fee, which there wouldn’t have been anyway, because the inspection is free, when you accept the quote. I hope that makes a lot more sense now.
We treat money in the same professional fashion that we do, what we do – work. It’s well planned, predictable and carried out with well-defined roles, hierarchy structured, with clear aims and goals and of course, with success in mind.
This is to say that we will use the same approach when planning our costs and your expenses. It will be well organised and transparent. No work ever goes ahead without your saying so. Simples!
We carry out the inspection, formulate a quote and get in touch with you to report on our findings and consult with you on what your costs will be going forward. If you say no, then you pay the inspection and that’s it.
So, no repairs go ahead until you’ve approved the quote, period.
Malware has become the umbrella term for Trojan horses, spyware, rootkits, including viruses and many more that are designed to cause damage or invade your privacy and steal your information. This malicious software is designed to infiltrate your life without your knowledge or consent.
Again, we have many years of successfully recovering many personal systems from absolute Malware destruction, and saving businesses from data leaks and other catastrophic events.
If you think you’ve been hacked, someone has put a lock on your computer or your device is acting erratically, get in touch, we always win in the battle against cyber crime.
Protecting your data is of course our first priority, unless you tell us otherwise. We will always ask you anyway. As long as your hard drive and data integrity are still in good shape, we will always start any repair by backing up your data, should you wish us to.
We recommend that you already have a backup of your system or at least your most important data before you drop your machine off, but should you not, then we’ll make sure to do everything in our power to keep your data safe.
If there is a problem with the data on your system, we will let you know and discuss your options, going forward.
So, in principle, you will not lose your documents, pictures, videos etc. Should it have already happened and you wish us to attempt data recovery, we also offer that service, so you really can’t go wrong.
Just like a locksmith has the power to almost break in any place with any kind of lock, but doesn’t go around doing it for a living (they work as locksmiths for a living, remember that), we also are acutely aware that we have similar powers when it comes to your data, but remember, we work as computer repair technicians for a living, nothing else.
We may have the need to use File Explorer to deal with Operating System related issues, but that’s all, we only need to resolve software issues with Windows, which has absolutely nothing to do with your documents or photos.
You could perhaps encrypt those particular folders that you feel contain your most sensitive information, however, please don’t encrypt the whole drive, or we won’t be able to do our job on the system, should we need to be doing anything software related.
So, quite simply, is your data safe with us? The answer is a big fat YES!
